Lucio, a radio host with an apparently progressive mindset, faces a personal
crisis when his nine-year-old son, Blu, expresses his wish to no longer be a boy.
This situation brings out Lucio’s latent conservatism, even greater than that of
his friend Stefano. At the same time, Lucio experiences conflicts with his wife
Elena, who unconditionally supports her son’s identity.
At the heart of the story is Lucio’s difficult transformation: a journey from
performative progressivism to genuine empathy, as he struggles to understand
not only who his child is becoming, but who he truly is beneath the voice behind
the microphone.
